    We are looking for an Account Manager to join the HSC team! In this role you will be given the opportunity to develop relationships with clients and lead assigned projects independently under the guidance of the Account Lead. You will maintain a vocal role in leading internal and client-facing status calls along with taking a leadership role in project financials such as the development of Statements of Work, including project scope assumptions and budget estimates. You will also be given the opportunity to take a leadership role in developing and managing interdepartmental relationships.




    Our Account Manager should have expertise in the following areas:


    Strategic Business Stewardship

    • Having a genuine understanding of HCG companies and services; can effectively speak about these at a top-line level with client
    • Participating and contributing in select business planning sessions
    • Beginning to understand and internally discuss client strategy and/or objectives
    • Assisting in prep for new business pitches/presentations, including research, scheduling, and other internal needs
    • Becoming an expert in our WorkFront project management tool

    Client Relations

    • Beginning to partner with clients more independently and leading client meetings/calls focused on project status and completion
    • Executing projects autonomously, has proven knowledge of internal process, capably and directly manages projects working with interdepartmental teams
    • Expert oversight of Zinc, Veeva, and other content management databases/portals (if applicable to account)

    Financial Management

    • Partnering with Client Finance Director for accurate picture and preservation of account financials
    • Correctly using existing financial tools (eg, JPR or Financial Dashboard) to keep team abreast of key financial data trackers. Accurately uses Cognos, and keeps team forecast up to date
    • Developing client budgets, SOWs, and estimates with minimal revision needed

    People Management

    • Overseeing the work of and providing direction to junior account managers; onboarding and training junior staff by delegating project work to provide experience and knowledge transfer
    • Taking the lead on interdepartmental relationship issues; identifying and resolving problems, giving/receiving constructive criticism, and addressing conflicts with peers


    • Working knowledge of MS Office (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint)
    • Having excellent communications skills (written and oral), analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and within a team
    • Being solutions-oriented
    • Having a passion for excellence; extremely detail oriented
    • Comfortable leading client calls
    • Highly organized, ability to manage workload, manage time, and prioritize tasks
    • Willingness and ability to travel for programs if requested; 10% travel likely (pending accounts)
