    We are looking for an experienced Account Director to join our team at The Scienomics Group. The Account Director will independently manage a medical education plan for brands from strategic concept development through implementation and financial reconciliation, driving daily development and execution of account initiatives, and serve as a main client contact. This position manages the client relationship by serving as the account key contact managing an entire account brand from assisting in strategic concept development through tactical implementation. The Account Director manages the development and production of account assigned communication tactics independently or as a supervisor of an account team. This individual will also leverage his or her scientific acumen and tactical experience to assist in the organic growth of the account, as well as manage administration for direct reports.


    The Account Director will liaise with upper management to provide professional updates on program and fiscal status of account. This position will be responsible for the professional development of direct reports.




    Strategic Business Stewardship

    • Partners with senior levels to direct the strategic development of assigned projects and programs
    • Coordinates team efforts to deliver tactical plans to clients
    • Identifies areas of possible organic growth with existing clients

    Client Relations

    • Resource for client ensuring resolution of day-to-day account issues
    • Understands client needs; writes proposals to address unmet client needs and opportunities
    • Active participant in client pitches, delivering logical, succinct, appropriate, and compelling messages
    • Understands and presents company’s capabilities to ensure clients have a clear comprehension of the company’s complete offerings that can support client growth goals. Advises clients on communication development and objectives, marketing strategies, and tactical recommendations
    • Works with clients and key opinion leaders to help facilitate initiatives
    • Proactively manages budgets with clients to prevent and/or manage scope creep and alert on budget utilization issues 

    Financial Management

    • Regularly performs account analysis, proactively raising issues and/or suggesting changes to enhance profitability
    • Proven ability to lead projects and programs to completion accurately, on time, and within budget
    • Prepares for and actively participates in financial status meetings
    • Contributes to and/or leads monthly forecasting exercises
    • Coach and monitor billability of his/her team

    People Management

    • Oversees execution of all account initiatives from inception through completion; creates actionable plans, provides ongoing feedback for direct reports
    • Collaborates with other department heads to ensure project continuity and quality and timely product end results
    • Develops proactive goals and career roadmap for direct report


    • Degree in life science or degree in liberal arts, marketing or communications with a strong appreciation for medical science writing and interest in pharmaceutical marketing.
    • Experience in medical communication agency for 3- 7 years


    • High level of expertise in MS Office, [MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint]
    • Possess excellent communication (written and oral), analytical, interpersonal and problem solving skills
    • Highly organized, ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
    • Passion for excellence – extremely detail oriented
    • Professional appearance and demeanor
    • Willingness and ability to travel for programs if requested; 10% travel likely
