    As a Medical Director, it is essential that you have a commanding knowledge in any one or more of the following therapeutic areas: diabetes/metabolic disease, immunology, oncology (across several cancer types), infectious disease, cardiovascular disease, neurology, internal medicine (including pulmonology, nephrology, and rheumatology). You will also be responsible for continual innovation and process development, in collaboration with the VP/SVP, Medical and Scientific Services. You will lead strategy development and implementation to build capabilities within the Scientific and Medical Services group to grow our service offerings.  You are accountable for the scientific content from your team. You will attend and lead advisory and/or tactical planning meetings, strategic planning sessions, and serve as scientific expert in any of your therapeutic area(s) of expertise.


    Scientific Content (Visual and Written)

    • Independently provide client-ready deliverables
    • Ability to effectively delegate work and provide effective direction
    • Provide clear and actionable feedback
    • Oversee content development on a wide range of projects across multiple teams/therapeutic areas
    • Demonstrate proficiency in review of scientific content and guide others to develop this skill
    • Guide the decision-making process in data analysis

    Fiscal Responsibility

    • Provide feedback on scientific aspects of budget development
    • Collaborate with the Client  Services for forecasting , staffing, and resource planning

    Strategic Perspective and Guidance

    • Act as scientific lead on account providing strategic direction
    • Ability to quickly recognize the big picture in a therapeutic area with limited volume of information
    • Demonstrate a working knowledge of pharmaceutical industry standards and compliance
    • Partner with Client Services in strategic planning efforts, and account / issues-management

    Client Engagement

    • Build, maintain, and lead relationships/ communications with clients and physicians, and guide others to develop this skill
    • Effectively moderate/facilitate client sessions
    • Work strategically with clients

    Team Engagement

    • Communicate effectively and propose appropriate solutions when conflicts arise
    • Partner with Client Services in strategic planning efforts, and account / issues-management
    • Fully understand internal processes, and roles and responsibilities of members of all Departments
    • Guide and lead performance management for direct reports

    Business Development

    • Work with functional teams and Client Services to cross sell services showing an understanding of business environment and client business strategy/implications
    • Participate in business development initiatives with existing clients


    • MD or PhD in biomedical sciences.
    • 3-5 years of experience in medical communications


    • Excellent organizational, problem solving, client, presentation, and project management skills combined with attention to detail
    • The ability to effectively collaborate within a team structure and to thrive in a fast-paced environment
