    Associate Medical Director

     

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Associate Medical Director is responsible for the development of scientific content across multiple therapeutic areas. The Associate Medical Director is expected to work independently and be fully responsible for implementation of programs and function as an integral member of multiple account teams. The Associate Medical Director has a minimum of 2 years of experience in medical education. Primary responsibilities include the creation of scientific content aligned with communication objectives across different communication channels, communication with internal team members and external stakeholders, and scientific contribution to business development. Some travel is required. 

    EXPECTATIONS

     

    Scientific Content (Visual and Written)

    • Lead and execute development of medical content for a wide range of complex projects with minimal review/direction

    Fiscal Responsibility

    • Work with teams on budgets and proposal reviews
    • Understand forecasting and staffing tools

    Strategic Perspective and Guidance

    • Independently and accurately incorporate strategic concepts into projects as well as guide others to do so
    • Ability to contribute to overall company and client strategy

    Client Engagement and Influence

    • Independently lead written and verbal client communications
    • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with clients and key opinion leaders
    • Travel to and/or remotely participate and lead off-site meetings

    Team Engagement and Influence

    • Effectively collaborate with senior and junior scientific/medical staff, as well as additional team members
    • Identify and communicate important updates and medical/regulatory milestones to the team and recommend new business opportunities
    • May lead internal training sessions

      

    Business Development

    • Understand business offerings and identify opportunities for organic account growth, including cross-selling, and new business

     

    QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION

    • MD or PhD in biomolecular or biomedical sciences
    • A minimum of 2 Years of Medical Education experience

    SKILLS

    • Proficient using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet research
    • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
