    Executive Director of Strategy – North America

    You are the ideal partner to the Chief Strategy Officer. Your leadership ability keeps the team heading in the right direction and constantly disrupting the status quo. You are not timid in challenging views yet are inspired in the execution of the agency’s strategic vision. You are a blackbelt in problem-solving and seek novel ways of unlocking new avenues for Disruption. You are a catalyst of growth and revenue potential, with both new and existing clients. Above all else you are a mentor and motivator to the strategy team, agency, and clients.

     

    Accountabilities:

    Team Leadership and Operations – 30%
    - Partnering with the Chief Strategy Officer to foster a culture of Disruption at the center of team and agency efforts
    - Partnering with senior account, creative, and strategy leads to ensure that the strategic needs of all brands are being exceeded
    - Manage and mentor the team to foster engagement through learning and development, leading to career growth at all levels

     

    Client Relationships – 20%-

    Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with senior clients to ensure that strategic needs are being exceeded
    - Work closely with senior clients to unlock new areas of agency opportunity beyond day-to-day efforts
    - Partner with Omnicom and TBWA\ agencies to close gaps in strategic needs


    Strategic Oversight – 20%
    - Provide leadership and oversight for all key US client and agency efforts
    - Serve as key lead with new brand client relationships to ensure trust and comfort with TBWA\ strategic teams and processes as work gets underway
    - Partner with the Chief Strategy Officer to develop and implement new strategic capabilities within the agency

     

    Business Development – 20%
    - Provide overall strategic leadership for new business opportunities for US efforts
    - Partner with business development and agency senior leadership to keep pace of industry trends

     

    Agency Leadership – 10%
    - Partner with the Executive Creative Director and Associate Managing Partners in the creation and execution of key agency efforts
    - Contribute to the overall agency culture through exemplary modeling of our core values: Do Good, Be Authentic, and Raise Hell


    Requirements:

    - Minimum 10 years prior work experience, preferably at an agency environment and with a strategic department
    - Experience in leading efforts across a wide array of brand strategy needs (eg, positioning, brand architecture, insight generation, etc)
    - Skilled in storytelling and public speaking
    - Experienced in leading new business presentations and workshops
