Senior MLR Content Manager

You are the MLR expert in the agency. You know the claims as well as the copywriters and the brand colors as well as the art directors. These colleagues and others rely on your deep knowledge of the MLR review process to further their own understanding. And your clients trust that nothing escapes you—never an errant claim or an inaccurate annotation in a submission. Your reputation and that of the agency are inherently intertwined, and thanks to you it is impeccable.

 

YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO:

 

Your Role (20%)

  • Establish and implement MLR best practices and processes as the primary MLR review liaison, ensuring that all jobs accurately and consistently capture MLR comments
  • Maintain and understand the context of MLR comments; partner with Copy to ensure MLR content is captured accurately within a job and carried through all related pieces
  • Raise awareness to brand teams of any key MLR content comments/issues that would be considered global or have broader brand implications
  • Maintain the highest level of quality control

You will excel by:

  • Validating submission compliance within agencyand client-related guidelines and processes
  • Seeking out and retaining ongoing and relevant insight into MLR guidelines; educating agency teams on MLR processes and feedback

 

Make it happen(40%)

  • Attend client MLR reviews, supporting the agency team in discussion and capturing notes on feedback
  • Create and update a detailed MLR feedback Content Tracker for regular dissemination to the full team
  • Review all tactics for MLR feedback compliance and consistency in execution
  • Develop an account-specific Submission Checklist to ensure submission excellence
  • Provide a final review of a submission before hitting “go”
  • Troubleshoot and guide submission workflow in challenging situations, supporting submission preparation when needed
  • Help annotate content provided by copywriters
  • Create an internal tracking system that captures the current status of all projects routing for MLR review
  • Attend client MLR prioritization calls and communicate with clients when appropriate
  • Oversee Associate MLR Content Manager and MLR Content Manager, providing training and feedback

Take it up a notch (20%)

  • Collaborate with Project Managers to manage, organize, and prioritize jobs in the workflow to ensure submissions are logistically correct and within deadline
  • Clearly define the roles and responsibilities and processes for assembly, coordination, delivery, and submission of MLR deliverables to client’s MLR system
  • Identify and evaluate support needs for future

You will excel by:

  • Creating and fine-tuning processes that guarantee error-free MLR submissions
  • Identifying and addressing account-specific regulatory needs

 

Stay Restless(20%)

  • Mentor and train agency staff on all processes around US and Global MLR submissions
  • Continuously challenge yourself by identifying new areas of interest for professional growth

  • Sharing MLR knowledge and best practices with agency teams
  • Providing direction and leadership that inspires and encourages best work

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8–10 years of experience with promotional content in a pharmaceutical setting
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • Knowledge of MLR process and software (eg, Veeva Vault PromoMats)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized approach
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire team members
