Position Summary

This role is charged with the responsibility of leading the thinking of both senior clients, Synergy teams and the DDB agency office network in the areas of healthcare communications, product/brand lifecycle management as well as emerging digital solutions. This position requires excellent client management, strategic thinking and business communication skills. The person in this role will be passionate leader and mentor to their clients, their teams, and within the agency as a whole

Summary

Responsible for the following:

·        External: Overall face of the Agency with nominated clients (marketing, medical, procurement)

·        Internal: Leader and motivator of the Synergy Agency teams working on client business

·        Proactive and reactive new business development

·        Oversight and management of budgets, costs and margin on nominated client accounts

·        Overall responsibility for quality control on all aspects of the work delivered by the Agency on nominated client accounts

Responsibilities

 

External: Overall face of the Agency with nominated clients (marketing, medical, procurement)

 

·        Serve as Agency lead on nominated accounts

·        Develop compelling, provocative creative strategies that deliver against the brand’s overall strategy

·        Hands-on involvement in the development and implementation of the creative strategy to achieve communications objectives

·        Troubleshoot account issues and ensure all project roles and tasks are appropriately assigned

·        Take a lead in managing client/KOL/agency issues  

·        Represent the Agency in client meetings to discuss strategic issues, project planning, initiation, development, and finalisation

·        Liaise closely with clients over account direction and emerging business issues

·        Communicate any significant account changes to Agency and Clients

 

Internal: Leader and motivator of the Synergy Agency teams working on client business

 

·        Motivate the agency team to do great work on assigned accounts

·        Keep up-to-date with product data and developments in the relevant field

·        Provide support for other members of the agency team on assigned accounts

·        Lead up-skilling of agency teams in client/KOL service

·        Provide internal direction on client/agency/KOL communications

 

 

Proactive and reactive new business development

·        Cultivate new business opportunities with current and new clients

·        Ensure that project proposals are maximised

·        Proactively assist the Account Management function in realising business opportunities

·        Build opportunities for Synergy from within existing accounts

·        Lead new business pitches in nominated clients

 

Oversight and management of budgets, costs and margin on nominated client accounts

·        Accountable for the P&L on accounts; recommend ways to grow and/or replace revenue

·        Oversee budget development to reflect profitable management of projects

·        Oversee budget reconciliation process on completion of client projects

 

Overall responsibility for quality control on all aspects of the work delivered by the Agency on nominated client accounts

·        Establish and deliver the high standards necessary on Synergy client work

·        Be dedicated to the agency producing the best medical communications programmes through the development of inspiring creative briefs and the selling of great work

·        Ensure appropriate strategic direction/messaging is integrated into all projects

·        Review appropriate agency outputs in order to maintain quality
