Position Title: UX Architect

 

Patients & Purpose is seeking a UX Architect who will design highly usable interactive experiences for web and mobile devices. We’re looking for someone who is charismatic and passionate about the digital space and creating experiences that are highly intuitive. Candidates must be able to show examples of how they solved complicated problems without burdening users with complexity. Strong visual design delivery and attention to detail is key. We value creativity and a user-centered design approach.

 

The UX Architect will report to VP, User Experience Architect.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Creating documents that describe the user experience, including wireframes, site maps, functional specs, user flows, personas, use cases, etc
  • Effectively communicating the user experience design to internal stakeholders and project team members, and presenting work to clients
  • Collaboratively working with core teams (art directors, copywriters, developers, project managers, and account) to craft user experiences that satisfy the functional requirements surfaced during the strategic phase
  • Working on a range of projects, including product websites (desktop and mobile), web portals, mobile apps, enterprise applications, and interactive site tools
  • Consulting across brands, providing both UI and technical feedback to improve creative execution

 

Qualifications include:

  • 3-4 years of related experience 
  • Collaborative/team player who is flexible and open-minded
  • Proven experience designing customer-facing interfaces
  • Strong understanding of UX/IA/UI principles and best practices
  • Knowledge or familiarity with user research and usability testing
  • Excellent visual, oral, and written communication skills
  • Passion for and demonstrated knowledge of user-centered design
  • Excellent black-and-white layout and Information Design skills
  • Digital advertising agency experience is preferred (but not required)

 

Required skills:

  • Strong experience with UX design tools (preferably OmniGraffle)
  • Deep background in UI/interaction design
  • Understanding of mobile and modern web technologies, capabilities, and trends
  • Expert in usability and best practices for web and mobile
  • Experience with prototyping tools
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus
