Overview: 

The medical writer position at Patients & Purpose is a unique role that blends medical expertise with creativity and high-science writing. This person will be fully integrated into the agency team, using their expertise to guide promotional materials and help position a top pharmaceutical company within the field of oncology.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead content strategy and development for high-science projects on a large oncology brand
  • Review branded and unbranded materials produced by agency for accuracy and professional tone
  • Work closely with cross-functional team to develop internal educational and knowledge management efforts
  • Act as a liaison between the agency and client medical team / opinion leaders
  • Analyze meeting data and prepare executive summaries from conferences and advisory board meetings
  • Spearhead research initiatives

 

Qualifications and Experience:

 

  • Candidates must have MD, PharmD, or PhD with at least 3-5 years of industry experience
  • Therapeutic expertise in oncology required
  • Must be able to present yourself, the agency, and your recommendations in an articulate, dynamic, and professional manner
  • Requires a strong desire to drive strategic development, lead a collaborative team, and immerse him/her in a variety of new assignments
